| To be fair, I won't presume that particular opinion was the standard of conservatism, since most of the commenters (also presumedly mostly conservatives) thought the originator was a complete lunatic.I do, however, think that line of reasoning is far too prevalent in society anyway: the reaction to statutory rape being "Wow, she's hot! That kid was so lucky." |
