| ... sort of like the Mexicans of Europe, ever trying to go north (legally or illegally) into {anywhere} for a better life.Was thinking this same parallel.Even more apropos is that many of the immigrants flowing north in the Americas are from south of the Mexican border, through Mexico, to the U.S.About the only thing Italy can do with such a large influx all at once is to just let them on through and let their neighbors help deal with it. Making it a continental problem rather than a singular national one solely on their door step. |
